What is Fire Cider?

Looking for a homemade health tonic to add to you pantry? Fire Cider is for you!

Fire cider is a zesty and invigorating tonic that packs a punch of flavor and wellness in every sip! Traditionally crafted by infusing apple cider vinegar with a fiery mix of spicy ginger, horseradish, garlic, and a splash of citrus, this homemade elixir is believed to boost your immune system and rev up your metabolism.

You can enjoy it straight up, diluted in water, or even as a tangy addition to salad dressings. Sip on this potent potion during cold seasons, and you’ll feel like you’ve harnessed the very spirit of warmth itself—perfect for those chilly days when you need a little extra kick!

Does Fire Cider Actually Work?

Fire cider is packed with ingredients known for potential health benefits like supporting immunity and digestion. While many people share positive stories about its effects, there isn't much scientific research to confirm these claims. Personally, I️ know it works to keep my immune system strong during allergy and cold & flu seasons.

Ingredients like garlic, ginger, and horseradish have anti-inflammatory and germ-fighting qualities, which might help with health. Results can differ from person to person, and fire cider shouldn't replace medical advice or treatment. For those looking for natural remedies, it can add flavor to a healthy lifestyle.

How to Make Fire Cider At Home

Combine all the ingredients in a large jar except the honey, ensuring the vinegar covers them completely. Seal the jar and store it in a cool, dark place for about four weeks, shaking it daily.

After steeping your mixture thoroughly, use a blender or juicer to effectively extract all the liquid goodness contained within, making sure to strain out any solids that may remain. Once you have done this, add the local honey to taste, adjusting the sweetness to your preference. I️ prefer to start with 1/4 cup and work my way up. If the fire cider is too strong, add one cup of raw apple cider vinegar to cut the spice.
